The same idea may have several different sound symbols. Similarly\, the idea of God is associated with innumerable sound symbols\, with the sound symbol Om or Pranava\, the best\, according to Patanjali. \nWe are asked to repeat the name of God as a spiritual practice. What is the use of mere repetition of a word? What do you gain? According to Patanjali\,\, repetition of Om or any other name of God\, with the mind concentrated on the meaning\, leads the mind ever inward\, gradually removing all obstacles to the spiritual path. \n  \nGuided Meditation: Self Enquiry  \nIn this guided meditation we dip into the Advaitic Vedanta path of Self-enquiry (atma-vichara).
